IonQ Prices $2 Billion Equity Offering; Shares Fall

09:40 AM EDT, 10/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- IonQ ( IONQ ) said Friday it priced an equity offering of 16.5 million shares and pre-funded warrants to buy up to 5.01 million shares, raising $2 billion in gross proceeds.

Each share is being sold at a price of $93 and each pre-funded warrant is priced at the same value, the company said. IonQ ( IONQ ) said the offering price represents a 20% premium to Thursday's closing price.

The company priced seven-year warrants to purchase 43.01 million additional shares of common stock at an exercise price of $155 per share.

IonQ ( IONQ ) Chief Executive Officer Niccolo de Masi said the proceeds "will facilitate our global growth and accelerate our quantum commercialization worldwide."

Shares of the company were down 3.9% in early Friday trading.
