08:17 AM EDT, 09/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Jacobs Solutions ( J ) has been retained by the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority to consult and manage a project to improve Long Island Rail Road stations in a contract valued at $227.5 million and expected to be completed in 2026.

Jacobs said it will be in charge of construction, commercial management, design compliance, and risk identification for the station upgrade.

The contract includes updating several stations to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
