Jet Airways Q2 results preview: Higher crude prices, weak rupee to hurt profit
Nov 12, 2018 12:33 AM

Struggling carrier Jet Airways will report its second-quarter results, which could be one of its worst earnings in its lifetime.

If Jet Airways reports loss this time then it will be the third consecutive quarter of quarterly loss.

The stock has pummeled and is down 70 percent in 2018. It has been a double whammy for Jet Airways; the higher crude prices and the weaker rupee has impacted the profitability and that is the expectation this quarter around as well.

In fact, not just the operational weakness but even the topline will slow down this time. So expecting the revenues to fall by about 8 percent.

Passenger traffic has been slow this time; it’s expected to be 3 percent in year-on-year basis because of seasonal weakness.
