07:32 AM EST, 11/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- J.M. Smucker (SJM) reported fiscal Q2 adjusted earnings Tuesday of $2.76 per diluted share, up from $2.59 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected $2.51.
Net sales for the quarter ended Oct. 31 were $2.27 billion, up from $1.94 billion a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected $2.27 billion.
The company said it now expects fiscal 2025 adjusted earnings of $9.70 to $10.10 per share, raising the previous outlook of $9.60 to $10.00. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expect $9.79.
Revenue for the fiscal year is still expected to grow by 8.5% to 9.5%, the company said.
Shares of the company were up 5.6% in recent Tuesday premarket activity.
