03:36 PM EST, 01/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Deere (DE) Monday introduced several fully autonomous machines ahead of the CES 2025 this week in Las Vegas, including self-driving tractors, dump trucks and mowers.
The second-generation machines build on technology that Deere first debuted three years, combines advanced computer vision, cameras and artificial intelligence to help navigate their environments. They include two autonomous tractors developed to till large fields or spray orchards along with self-driving dump trucks to carry rocks at quarries and mowers capable of landscaping without driver assistance.
The technology upgrades were developed to assist businesses like farming, materials and landscaping that often grapple with labor shortages, Deere said, adding it can also be adapted to retrofit selected first-generation autonomous machines.
