JPMorgan names new vice chair for its diversified industries business, memo shows
Oct 30, 2025 12:29 PM

NEW YORK (Reuters) -JPMorgan Chase ( JPM ) has appointed former Rothschild executive Eric Hirschfield as the vice chair for its diversified industries business, according to a memo seen by Reuters.

The largest U.S. lender by assets has been bolstering its investment banking leadership as dealmaking and IPOs make a comeback amid soaring markets and lower rates.

Hirschfield, who will be based in Chicago, was most recently a partner at Rothschild, where he established their Chicago office and led mid-west investment banking.

Prior to joining Rothschild, Hirschfield was a senior banker at Goldman Sachs where he led the paper and packaging industry business within investment banking.

JPMorgan ( JPM ) has been on a hiring spree and earlier this month it named a former Bank of America executive as its global chair of investment banking and M&A.

It also poached three senior investment bankers from Deutsche Bank and Goldman Sachs to expand its M&A team that caters to the business services sector.

Investment banking fees at JPMorgan ( JPM ) rose 16% in the third quarter and the bank has called it its "busiest summer" in a long time.
