05:12 PM EDT, 08/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- KBR (KBR) said Wednesday it was awarded a US National Aeronautics and Space Administration contract worth up to $2.46 billion to support astronaut and occupational health, along with research to reduce health risks in future space missions.
The deal is a follow-on contract that continues KBR's work with NASA and expands its long-term involvement in human spaceflight operations, the company said.
The new contract begins Nov. 1 and runs for five years, with two optional extensions that could push the total value to $3.6 billion through 2035, it added.
Most of the work will be carried out at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, where KBR will support several NASA programs, including the Artemis campaign, the Commercial Crew Program, the International Space Station, and the Human Research Program, according to the company.
