Kemper Chief Executive Joseph Lacher Steps Down; Shares Fall Pre-Bell

07:47 AM EDT, 10/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Kemper (KMPR) said Wednesday that Joseph Lacher Jr. will step down as chief executive and president, effective immediately.

The company has named General Counsel C. Thomas Evans Jr. as interim CEO as it looks for a permanent CEO.

Kemper said Lacher will remain in an advisory capacity through the end of the year.

The company's shares were down 8.7% in recent premarket activity.
