04:45 PM EDT, 09/02/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Knight-Swift Transportation ( KNX ) said late Tuesday it supports the Union Pacific ( UNP ) -Norfolk Southern ( NSC ) merger, which it expects to strengthen US supply chain resilience.

The merger will offer Knight-Swift's intermodal customers a unified, coast-to-coast single-line service, which will reduce transit times, streamline logistics, and ramp efficiency, the company said.

A transcontinental railroad is also expected to support Knight-Swift's goal to offer cost-effective and environmentally responsible freight services, the company added.
