08:53 AM EDT, 08/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Lilium (LILM) said Wednesday it completed the first phase integration testing of its Lilium Jet's electrical power system at its new laboratory.

Lilium is an electric aircraft manufacturer. Data gathered in its lab testing is expected to provide evidence to airworthiness authorities to demonstrate its aircraft's safety and compliance with type-certification requirements, the company said.

The development allows Lilium to verify the aircraft's design for certification with the EU's Aviation Safety Agency's Vertical Takeoff and Landing requirements for 'Air Taxis,' the company said.
