06:10 AM EDT, 03/20/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Lithium Americas (Argentina) Corp. ( LAAC ) overnight Tuesday said that Monica Moretto has joined the company's board as an independent member.

Sam Pigott, who was recently appointed as president and chief executive officer, will also join the board as an executive member. The board now comprises eight members, five of whom are independent.

The company's shares rose 6.6% in Canada yesterday.
