Lockheed Martin May Reportedly Get Order for Up to 10 Additional F-35 Warplanes From Germany

11:59 AM EDT, 06/07/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Lockheed Martin ( LMT ) may get an order for up to 10 additional F-35 fighters from Germany, according to media reports Friday.

Bloomberg reported that the German government may purchase 10 F-35s for as much a 2.8 billion euros ($3 billion), citing sources familiar with the matter.

Meanwhile, Reuters reported the government may purchase eight fighters, citing a military source.

Germany initially ordered 35 F-35s, missiles, and other weapons in 2022 for about 10 billion euros.

Neither Lockheed Martin ( LMT ) nor the German Defense Ministry immediately responded to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
