12:34 PM EDT, 08/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Lockheed Martin ( LMT ) said Wednesday its Sikorsky unit was awarded a $43 million contract for Black Hawk modernization by the US Army.

The contract will focus on the enhancement of the airframe and inclusion of a digital backbone capability to allow for rapid unmanned aerial systems integration, Lockheed Martin ( LMT ) said.

The award also includes the development of requirements and architecture using model-based systems engineering, the company said.
