MAG Silver Reports Q1 Production From Juanicipio Mine in Mexico
Apr 24, 2024 4:50 AM

07:25 AM EDT, 04/24/2024 (MT Newswires) -- MAG Silver Corp. ( MAG ) on Wednesday reported first-quarter production from the Juanicipio mine in Mexico.

Juanicipio - 44%-owned by MAG - processed 325,684 tonnes of ore in the three months ended March 31. Production was 6.1% below last year's fourth quarter and almost 50% more than the first quarter of 2023.

The average silver head grade for the quarter was 476 grams per tonne (g/t), marginally higher than the previous quarter. This, together with a robust initial reserve as outlined in the recently released technical report, "further reaffirms Juanicipio's status as a high-grade mineral deposit with significant long-term potential," according to a company statement.

MAG expects to release comprehensive financial and operational results on May 14.
