04:59 AM EST, 11/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Magna International ( MGA ) said Thursday it has begun series production of GAC's Aion V electric SUV at its Graz plant under a new vehicle assembly program to support localized EV output in Europe.

The cooperation with GAC is intended to expand regional assembly, supply and sales of the Chinese automaker's electric models, the company said.

The Aion V, which carries a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating, has already launched in Finland, Poland, and Portugal, Magna said.

GAC plans to move into more European markets by adding new partnerships along with service and sales networks around the Aion V, it said.
