08:31 AM EDT, 07/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Main Street Capital ( MAIN ) said Thursday that in Q2 it originated new or increased commitments in its private loan portfolio of $375.9 million and financed total investments throughout the portfolio with a cost basis of $323.8 million.

As of June 30, the company's loan portfolio contained investments worth roughly $1.80 billion across 92 unique borrowers, Main Street said.

The portfolio, as a percentage of cost, included 4.6% invested in equities or other securities and 95.4% invested in first-lien debt investments, it added.
