Marathon Digital to Collaborate With Kenya on Renewable Energy, Technological Infrastructure

12:49 PM EDT, 05/24/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Marathon Digital ( MARA ) said Friday it has entered into a collaboration agreement with the government in Kenya to establish a framework to utilize green data centers to optimize renewable energy projects and enhance technological infrastructure in the country.

The company said it has agreed to exchange policy, scientific, and technical information as well as its project investment expertise with Kenya's Ministry of Energy and Petroleum.

Financial terms of the agreement weren't disclosed.

Shares of the company were nearly 5% higher in recent trading.
