02:31 PM EDT, 06/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Apple ( AAPL ) will delay the rollout of some new iOS 26 features to European Union users this year due to regulatory roadblocks, The Wall Street Journal reported Monday, citing company lawyers.
Apple ( AAPL ) must comply with the EU's Digital Markets Act, which limits the market influence of leading technology companies and promotes interoperability to make it easier for smaller developers to conduct business online, according to the report.
The iPhone maker won't release a tool that allows a user's location to be tracked and recorded in the EU when the iOS 26 software update is pushed out later this year, the report said.
Apple ( AAPL ) didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
