05:17 PM EDT, 06/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Advanced Micro Devices ( AMD ) is investigating claims that the personal computer processor maker's information was stolen in a hack, Bloomberg News reported Tuesday, citing the company.
AMD's statement comes in response to an inquiry amid reports that an organization called "Intelbroker" is claiming to have breached the chipmaker's systems on a site called "BreachForums," according to the report.
"We are aware of a cybercriminal organization claiming to be in possession of stolen AMD data," Bloomberg quoted the company as saying. "We are working closely with law enforcement officials and a third-party hosting partner to investigate the claim and the significance of the data."
AMD didn't immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
