Market Chatter: American Airlines Sued Over Fatal Mid-Air Collision

12:33 PM EDT, 09/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- American Airlines Group ( AAL ) is being sued in federal court by Rachel Crafton, the wife of Casey Crafton, who died in a January crash involving the airline's regional jet and a military helicopter near Washington, Bloomberg reported Wednesday.

The lawsuit claims American Airlines ( AAL ) neglected measures to prevent mid-air collisions and also includes PSA Airlines and the US government as defendants, the report said.

American Airlines ( AAL ) did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.

Shares of the company fell 1.3% in recent trading.
