Market Chatter: Apple Adds JD.com, Alibaba Apps in Vision Pro

07:58 AM EDT, 06/24/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Apple ( AAPL ) recently added applications from China's JD.com ( JD ) and Alibaba Group Holding ( BABA ) for the Vision Pro headset, which is set to be available in China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore from June 28, Bloomberg News reported Monday.

Bloomberg said Alibaba's ( BABA ) Taobao app will allow users to simulate makeup looks and offer virtual test drives of Xiaomi vehicles.

Last week, JD.com ( JD ) launched its JD.Vision app for immersive shopping for the Apple Vision Pro. The company said the app leverages spatial computing that allows users to "virtually place products in their home" to visualize dimensions and design compatibility, among others.
