03:31 PM EDT, 09/12/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Apple's ( AAPL ) Robby Walker, a senior artificial intelligence executive, will depart from the company next month, Bloomberg reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Walker, one of a few direct reports to AI chief John Giannandrea, was developing a new AI-powered web search tool designed to rival Perplexity and ChatGPT, the report said.

Apple ( AAPL ) didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
