07:39 AM EDT, 05/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Apple ( AAPL ) 's main contractor Foxconn is moving ahead with plans to build a $1.5 billion display module facility in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, Financial Times reported Friday, citing two government officials.

The officials said the new facility would be supplying Apple ( AAPL ), according to the report.

Apple ( AAPL ) and Foxconn did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment on the matter.
