08:44 AM EST, 02/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Apple ( AAPL ) has warned the UK's competition regulator that some of the options the government has proposed to address the company's alleged abuse of its market position in the mobile browser market could harm the company's ability to innovate, Reuters reported Wednesday.
Apple ( AAPL ) said granting free access to certain features used by Safari would "have a chilling impact on Apple's ( AAPL ) incentives to innovate and would lead to free-riding and underinvestment on the part of third parties."
Apple ( AAPL ) did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
