Market Chatter: Boeing May Receive Airplane Order From Air India

08:37 AM EDT, 10/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing ( BA ) could receive an order for its airplanes from Air India, after the air carrier placed an order for 85 Airbus planes, Reuters reported Thursday.

Airbus said late Wednesday that an unnamed airline ordered 75 A320-family jets and 10 long-haul A350 planes, Reuters said. Three sources said that Air India was the airline behind the order, while two of them said Air India was also in talks to place an order with Boeing ( BA ), Reuters added.

Boeing ( BA ) and Air India did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
