06:11 AM EDT, 10/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing ( BA ) is planning to increase 737 Max output to 42 jets per month as early as this month and is notifying suppliers about the plan, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing unnamed people having knowledge of the matter.
The jet maker is also devising plans to raise the production pace in April and once more in late next year, the report said, citing the people.
The changes would increase manufacturing to roughly 53 jets a month by the end of 2026, the news outlet said, adding that to reach pre-COVID production levels, Boeing ( BA ) must convince the US Federal Aviation Administration that the company's Seattle-area sites and suppliers can retain pace while keeping quality.
Neither Boeing ( BA ) nor the FAA immediately responded to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
Boeing's ( BA ) stock was up 1.2% in recent Monday premarket activity.
