06:38 AM EDT, 09/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing ( BA ) is set to deliver the first 737 Max jet to Vietnamese carrier VietJet more than nine years after receiving an order, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing company and state documents.

The handover ceremony is slated for Sunday at a Boeing ( BA ) factory in Seattle, the news agency reported, citing a preliminary schedule.

A second Boeing ( BA ) aircraft could be handed over next month, Reuters reported, citing a person with direct knowledge of the matter.

The US planemaker and VietJet didn't immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
