Market Chatter: Citigroup to Help Finance Bulgaria's Kozloduy Nuclear Units

07:22 AM EDT, 07/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Citigroup ( C ) is set to finance the construction of Bulgaria's nuclear power units 7 and 8 at the Kozloduy nuclear power plant, Reuters reported Wednesday, quoting Bulgarian Energy Minister Zhecho Stankov.

Stankov held final talks with Citi's leadership in New York, where they agreed on financing for the units, which will use Westinghouse's AP1000 technology, the report said.

Citigroup ( C ) and the Bulgarian Energy Ministry didn't immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
