Market Chatter: Citigroup's Equity Capital Markets Co-Heads Leaving for Investment Firms

02:40 PM EST, 02/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Citigroup ( C ) is seeing the co-heads of its North America equity capital markets business leave for positions at separate investment management firms, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

Paul Abrahimzadeh will become a partner at 1789 Capital while Russell Chong is set to join Patient Square Capital as a partner, according to the report.

Chong is expected to start his new role in May, one of the sources said.

Citigroup ( C ), 1789 Capital, Patient Square, and the two executives declined to comment, Bloomberg reported. Citigroup ( C ) also did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
