Market Chatter: CME Group Looking to Launch Sports Contracts by Year-End

07:08 AM EDT, 10/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CME Group ( CME ) plans to launch financial contracts tied to sports games and economic indicators by year-end, Bloomberg reported Friday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

The company will offer the contracts through futures commission merchants, including the merchant CME is establishing with Flutter Entertainment's ( FLUT ) FanDuel unit, according to the report. Sources also told Bloomberg that the company could also use other similar platforms.

CME Group ( CME ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.

Shares of FanDuel competitor DraftKings ( DKNG ) were down more than 2% in recent premarket activity Friday.
