12:51 PM EDT, 06/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Coty ( COTY ) shares gained more than 7% in recent trading after Women's Wear Daily, the fashion-industry trade journal, reported Monday that the company was exploring a possible sale.

The talks are in very early stages and could comprise a potential sell-off in two parts, one involving Coty's ( COTY ) luxury division and another its consumer division, WWD reported, citing sources familiar with the talks.

Coty ( COTY ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
