12:49 PM EDT, 06/04/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Databricks plans to eventually go public but does not expect to pursue an initial public offering this year amid a crowded pipeline of technology listings, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing Chief Executive Officer Ali Ghodsi.
"We will be a public company. I just think this is a terrible year to go public," Ghodsi said in an interview with Bloomberg Television, adding that a listing would help create a market for its employee shares.
The data software company has instead continued to raise private capital, securing $1.8 billion in financing in January through loan investors and private credit lenders after raising more than $4 billion in a funding round in December that valued the company at $134 billion, according to the report.
