Market Chatter: Dell Technologies Reports Breach in Customer Solution Centers Platform by World Leaks
Jul 21, 2025 8:41 AM

11:21 AM EDT, 07/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Dell Technologies ( DELL ) acknowledged a breach into its Customer Solution Centers platform by extortion group World Leaks, which is seeking a ransom, information security and technology-focused publication Bleeping Computer said Monday, citing the company.

The data present on the platform, which is used to showcase Dell's products to customers, was largely "fake" public datasets used for product demonstration and testing purposes, Bleeping Computer said.

Dell said the customer solutions platform is separate from the rest of its customer-facing networks and internal systems, according to the report.

Bleeping Computer said that "a very outdated contact list," was the only authentic piece of data that was stolen in the attack.

Dell Technologies ( DELL ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
