Market Chatter: Disney Delays Maiden Voyage of Its Largest Cruise Ship From Singapore by Three Months to March
Sep 11, 2025 3:20 AM

06:07 AM EDT, 09/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Walt Disney's ( DIS ) first Asia-based cruise ship has postponed its maiden voyage from Singapore by three months due to unexpected delays, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing Joe Schott, president of Disney Signature Experiences.

The Disney Adventure's inaugural sailing from Singapore, which was originally scheduled for Dec. 15, has been rescheduled to March 10, the report said.

The vessel began sea trials last week to test its systems, and the delay is expected to disrupt nearly 25 sailings, the report added.

Walt Disney Company ( DIS ) did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
