03:52 PM EDT, 04/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Walt Disney ( DIS ) plans to start a crackdown against password sharing starting June amid efforts to make the streaming business profitable, Chief Executive Officer Bob Iger said Thursday in an interview with CNBC.
The Disney+ streaming service will start cracking down on password sharing in June in some countries and more broadly in September, Iger said.
The Disney ( DIS ) CEO said the streaming business is on track to be profitable in fiscal Q4.
Disney ( DIS ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
Shares of Disney ( DIS ) were down 1.6% in recent trading.
