Market Chatter: Ford Motor to Pause Production at Dearborn Plant Next Week
Oct 9, 2025 4:15 AM

06:56 AM EDT, 10/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Ford Motor ( F ) will pause production at its plant in Dearborn, Michigan, next week, Reuters reported Thursday.

The pause in production is related to a fire at a supplier's New York aluminum factory on Sept. 16, a union official said, according to the report.

The fire is expected to disrupt production of Ford's F-150 vehicles for months and potentially result in a $1 billion impact to its bottom line, according to an analyst estimate, the report said.

Ford did not immediately respond to an MT Newswires request for comment.
