01:32 PM EDT, 04/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- GM (GM) plans to raise production of light-duty trucks at its Fort Wayne, Indiana, assembly plant after the Trump administration announced 25% tariffs on auto imports, Reuters reported Thursday, citing a company webcast sent to employees.
The production increase may create hundreds of temporary jobs, the report said, citing a company source. Overtime shifts may be added, Reuters said, citing the webcast.
GM didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
