12:23 PM EDT, 10/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Hasbro ( HAS ) is close to a decision to move its headquarters to Boston from across the Massachusetts state line in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, the Boston Globe reported, citing multiple people briefed on the matter.

Hasbro ( HAS ) executives have been looking at various locations with around 250,000 square of space and have also been consulting with state and city officials on a potential move, the people said, with real estate industry sources saying the company has narrowed its search to around six locations.

In a Sept. 16 memo obtained by the Globe, Hasbro ( HAS ) CEO Chris Cocks said any move would not happen for at least 18 months and a spokesperson told the newspaper the company was not close to signing a lease.

Hasbro ( HAS ) did not immediately respond to an inquiry from MT Newswires on Wednesday seeking comment.
