12:30 PM EDT, 10/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Humana (HUM) lost its bid to overturn cuts to Medicare Advantage bonus payments as a Texas judge ruled for the US government and upheld a downgrade to quality star ratings that influence plan reimbursements, Bloomberg Law reported Tuesday.
The decision affirms the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' quality ratings changes, which Humana said could threaten billions of dollars in potential bonus revenue tied to the private version of Medicare for seniors, the report said.
The judge dismissed a similar challenge in July on procedural grounds.
Humana didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
Shares of Humana fell 3.5% in recent Tuesday trading.
