Market Chatter: Janus Henderson Won't Tender U-blox Shares Amid $1.3 Billion Advent Takeover Bid
Oct 7, 2025 11:53 AM

02:41 PM EDT, 10/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Janus Henderson Group ( JHG ) , a top-10 U-blox shareholder holding 5%, will not tender its shares for Advent International's $1.3 billion (1.05 billion Swiss franc) takeover offer for U-blox, Bloomberg said Tuesday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

The company considers Advent's 135 Swiss franc per share offer for U-blox too low, estimating the company's fair value at about twice the bid based on projected growth, the report said.

The asset management firm voiced disappointment that U-blox's management agreed to the deal without considering alternative strategic options.

Bloomberg said that some shareholders support the deal, with Spectrum Entrepreneurial Ownership, which holds roughly 9%, agreeing to tender its shares.

Janus Henderson ( JHG ) didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
