Market Chatter: KKR Exploring Options to Bring in New Investors for Sylvan
Aug 29, 2024 8:34 AM

06:57 AM EDT, 08/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- KKR & Co ( KKR ) is reportedly exploring options for mushroom spawn producer Sylvan, including bringing in new investors, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing unnamed people familiar with the matter.

Cited sources said KKR has retained an advisor to explore a continuation fund denominated in yuan.

This strategy is being considered as market volatility and tight financing make traditional exits like IPOs more difficult.

The process is currently in the early stages, the report said.

In a statement to MT Newswires, KKR said it would not comment on media speculation.
