07:30 AM EDT, 06/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Mastercard ( MA ) will not require Europeans to provide their card numbers manually when checking out online starting in 2030, CNBC reported Tuesday.

A randomly-generated "token" will replace the traditional 16-digit card entry, no matter what platform or device the customer is using, according to the report.
