06:38 AM EDT, 09/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Meta Platforms ( META ) has been instructed by Singapore police to implement anti-scam measures on Facebook to combat advertisements, accounts, profiles, and business pages impersonating key government officials, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing Goh Pei Ming, Singapore's Minister of State for Home Affairs.

The social media giant could face a fine of up to 1 million Singapore dollars ($775,800) if it fails to comply with the order, the news agency reported.
