02:56 PM EDT, 03/20/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Meta Platforms ( META ) , Microsoft ( MSFT ) , X, and Match Group ( MTCH ) have made a joint court filing Wednesday against Apple's ( AAPL ) plans to open up its App Store to outside payment options, Bloomberg reported.

The companies are arguing that Apple's ( AAPL ) plans violate a 2021 court order that requires the company to allow app developers to direct users to their own payment systems, the report said.

Meta, Microsoft ( MSFT ), Match, and Apple ( AAPL ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment. X could not be reached for comment.
