07:19 AM EDT, 09/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Meta Platforms' ( META ) artificial intelligence system, Llama, has been approved for use by US government agencies, Reuters reported Monday, citing a senior official.
The General Services Administration, which oversees federal procurement, will add Llama to its list of vetted AI tools for federal agencies, Reuters reported.
Llama is a large language model capable of processing text, video, images, and audio and can help federal agencies with tasks such as speeding up contract reviews and resolving IT issues, Josh Gruenbaum, the GSA's procurement lead, told Reuters.
Meta did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
