07:24 AM EDT, 05/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Microsoft ( MSFT ) plans to offer customers of its cloud service a platform built on AMD (AMD) artificial intelligence chips to compete with Nvidia ( NVDA ) , Reuters reported, citing a company statement.

Microsoft ( MSFT ) will sell AMD MI300X AI chips through its Azure cloud service as an alternative to Nvidia's ( NVDA ) graphics processing units, the report said.

Microsoft ( MSFT ) did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
