02:34 PM EST, 01/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Microsoft ( MSFT )-backed (MSFT) OpenAI plans to launch this week ChatGPT's automating capability for complex tasks commonly done on the Web browser, technology-focused news outlet the Information reported Wednesday.

Such tasks as making restaurant reservations or planning trips can be automated with the new ChatGPT feature called Operator, the report said, citing a person with direct knowledge of the plans.

OpenAI did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
