Market Chatter: Nvidia Chips Still Eagerly Sought by Chinese Tech Giants
Sep 4, 2025 4:58 AM

07:30 AM EDT, 09/04/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Nvidia's ( NVDA ) AI-capable microchips are still being sought by Chinese tech giants such as Alibaba (BABA), ByteDance, and DeepSeek despite pressure from Beijing to find local alternatives, Reuters reported Thursday, citing four people with knowledge of procurement discussions.

The companies are eager to see their orders for Nvidia's ( NVDA ) H20 fulfilled and are closely following plans for the more powerful B30A chip, the report said.

The B30A is set to cost double the price of the H20, which sells for $10,000 to $12,000, which Chinese firms consider a good deal, the report said.

Nvidia ( NVDA ), Alibaba, ByteDance, and DeepSeek did not respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
