Oct 9, 2025 3:36 AM

06:20 AM EDT, 10/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Nvidia ( NVDA ) has secured approval to export "several billion dollars" worth of AI-compatible microchips to the United Arab Emirates, Bloomberg News reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The Commerce Department's Bureau of Industry and Security issued the export licenses under terms of an agreement forged in May, the report said.

The approval followed finalization of UAE commitments to make reciprocal investments in the US, an American official cited by Bloomberg said.

Nvidia ( NVDA ) declined to comment. The Commerce Department and the UAE Media Council did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
