Market Chatter: NYC Delays Rideshare Driver Pay Rule Amendments to 2025
Dec 11, 2024 7:56 AM

10:22 AM EST, 12/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- New York City's Taxi and Limousine Commission plans to propose amendments to minimum-pay rules for rideshare drivers in early 2025 rather than by the end of this year, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing an emailed statement from an agency spokesperson.

Separately, Uber Technologies ( UBER ) has prepared written comments ahead of a public commission hearing Wednesday asking the regulator to reconsider proposed changes to commercial auto insurance requirements, which it says could leave thousands of drivers in New York City unable to insure their vehicles, Bloomberg reported.
